As the sun sets tonight, I wonder how a view can be so beautiful and the people in the country can be so ugly. I turn on the television and view the news, as I watch I become angry...…..

Why can't we all get along and focus on making our country a better place.
Let the President do his job, he was voted in and now leave him alone.

The borders need to be closed, once immigration laws are reformed then re open. Simple! Send all illegal immigrants back to their native countries, from there they can then follow the legal way to enter our country.  Once again Simple! Not that I am heartless but if you put yourself and your family in a dangerous unhealthy environment, then it is your own fault that you are held at a border that may or may not be a pleasant place, the circumstances at the borders are over crowded, unmanned, and low on funding for supplies. Simple!

If a parent from the United States would put a child in this unsafe environment, they would be taken away. Just a thought.....

Our President has improved the economy, strengthened the borders, improved our military, and on and on...….

So why are we not on the same page????

Snowman

What a fun and exciting time you have with family and friends when building a snowman.  I was doing some web searching and realized that people can be really creative with building a snowman. I thought I would share a few that I thought were awesome.

Winter Days

Winter, some people like and some don't.  I love winter, especially when it snows. Once the snow hit the ground with a blanket and the tree limbs have a cover, the scenery is beautiful.

OK, everyone loves when the sun shines, so do I....

Winter is the time to snug up with a good book, sitting next to a roaring fire or maybe watching a hallmark movie. You may just want to sit and have a beverage with your best friend, share some memories. Winter is a time to slow down and relax. Enjoy your winter, spring will be here before you now it.

What is a family?

A family can be the basic-parents, kids, grandparents, etc.

or a family can be a man and his dogs

or close friends that need a family.

So, the bottom line is that family is what you make it.

Spring is on it's way!

As The Fall Leaves Fall

Hello Readers,

It sure has been a while since I have posted on this blog.  Priorities, Time, and  Life Changes due happen. This happens to all at one point in are lives.

As the leaves fall here in Pennsylvania, I think of apples, pumpkins, and beautiful colors. The oranges, yellows, and reds.  It makes me want to take a ride through the hills and gaze at the change of the season.

 

It is time for fall baking, apple crisp, apple pie, apple butter, apple sauce, apple cake, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin spice latte.

Just to name a few of the fall delicious treats, I could go on and on.

Time for porch decorating, the mums are so colorful and full of life. Add a few, some corn stalks, and don't forget the pumpkins.

Add a little ghoulish charm to the porch, Halloween is just around the corner.

This is my favorite time of the year. As I sit sipping my pumpkin spice coffee and watch the leaves fall as the breeze blows. The dogs playing in the yard, the birds singing. All I can say is

Happy Easter

As My Day Went-

Good day to all my readers,

My day started out with being woke by Sadie (the 5 month old lab) at the break of dawn. She is a loving energetic new member to the family.

 One of her favorite things to do is walk out with me to the chicken coop. Since she arrived we have had to add a different enclosure for the chickens, she thinks they are fun to chase.
As we head  to the chicken coop, Sadie is rearing to go, ball in her mouth. We let the chickens out and she runs around like crazy, bark! bark! We head back to the house, and finally my first cup of coffee. As I sip my coffee and enjoy the aroma of  "Dark Chocolate Truffle " (pick of the day), I brain storm of what is on the agenda for the day.  Out comes the Beagles, sleepy as can be, one right after the other. Cooper and Chance!



They are slow starters, but don't let them get the sniff of a rabbit. O-boy, I can tell you some stories about their great adventures. That is for another day!

So today for starters, I made some homemade dog treats. I was tired of paying the expensive $$ amount for healthy dog treats. So, I set out to find recipes for homemade healthy treats for the dogs.

One of the easiest recipe is with baby food. From there I mix things up and come up with healthy recipes. I will add to the recipe page.



So, I whipped up a few batches of dog treats and they just love them.  Since I was in the kitchen I whipped of some Cookies and Oat Bran Muffins.

Ok, that was my morning. I wrapped up the day with chores and the dogs ran a muck, so baths for them. As the evening approached, I sat down with my husband for a lovely chicken dinner.
