Challenge Update!

Nineth day of the Baking/Dessert Challenge!!!!! The challenge has been exciting. Out of these 9 desserts, only one was a thumbs down for me. I didn't prefer the Chocolate Angel Food cake. I would say the odds are fabulous!  These 30 days will definitely be a challenge. The family will not want desserts for a while, and I will most likely be baked out, and will need a rest from the desserts. We have 21 more days of the Challenge left!!!!!!!  I hope all my readers are enjoying the desserts. Keep reading and see what will be next. I am off to make a dessert. Kim

Washington State Apple Pie Review

The pie was tasty, but you can't beat the my mom's apple pie. It didn't have that homemade apple pie taste. The apple texture was to soft, flavor was sweet like a store bought pie. My son seem to like it, he has eaten 3 pieces already. My husband ate a piece and said he likes the original Apple pie better.  Thumbs up, I would say.

Baking Challenge/5th Day

Today is the "Washington State Apple Pie" I make pies all the time, but I decides to try a Apple pie recipe that is different from my original. Using brown sugar in the pie is new to me and cooking the apples on the stove first is a step I have never used for my Apple Pies. The pie just came out of the oven, waiting for it to cool, then cutting a piece to try. I had a busy day today and I got off to a late start on my baking. You ever have those days, where you are still busy and everyone else is in bed. Well, today is that day for me. The family and I will give our review on the pie tomorrow.   Go to the recipe page for details. Have a fabulous evening, Kim

Black Bean Brownie's are finished!

Hello Readers, Black Bean Brownies! These Brownies are delicious. They are extremely moist, with a little fiber. The Kids will love these, and they will never know you are giving them something that has some fiber and less sugar then original Brownie recipes. My husband is a Brownie lover, they are his go to for a quick dessert.  He gave these brownies a thumbs up. He said they were good.  " Moist, thick, & great brownie flavor." Try them!!!!!  Your family will love this great Brownie. Details on the recipe page

Challenge Update/4th Day

Hello Readers, The Baking challenge is coming along. The reviews on the Chocolate Angel Food Cake are, well I didn't prefer it, but I am not a chocolate lover "don't hate me" all you chocolate lovers. :) I would suggest leaving the chocolate off the top and make a cherry sauce and poor over each piece. This could make a spin on the traditional strawberry sauce on regular angel food. We brought the cake to some friends house last night, we all had mixed feelings on thumbs up or down. Over all I would say it has some tweaking to do, the cake consistency, is moist and spongy like angel food, with a chocolate flavor. So, should try it and put your own spin on a different topping etc. Today for the baking challenge, I am going to make Black Bean Brownies. I heard they are good, a healthier side to Brownies. Check back on the recipe page later today for the brownie update. I hope everyone one had a fabulous fathers day and once again Happy Fathers...
