My thoughts to share with you all on this Friday night. As we all know, some would say this is the crazy time of year. It is turning cold in places. Snow is falling on many and others have rain. You may be living in the area of the world that the weather is warm. Christmas time to me; it is cold outside, you sit by a fire, drink hot cocoa and watch classic Christmas movies. There is millions of traditions that families have, even if it is playing in the snow or sipping tea by the pool. Christmas is all around, no matter where you are in the world, we all bless this joyous time of year. Have you done your shopping? Are you one to wait til the last minute, start on black Friday or maybe you are one to shop all year. Believe me when this time of year comes, I am always saying " I am starting my shopping early next year", OK it hasn't happened yet. My holiday decorations are out. The trees are up, this year we have a 10 foot, with a mixture of ornaments, and bulbs, a 8 foot with red & white ornaments, and a small one in the kitchen with all my cow ornaments. Each ornament we have has a meaning for someone in the family or it has been a gift. One of my favorite times is unwrapping each ornament and remembering the importance it has or who blessed us with a gift. We have been collecting ornaments for 22 years. I would say that we have a bundle of memories. Every year we all purchase an ornament that we like, has a meaning, or something we did that year. This has been one tradition that my family started, traditions should be made by every family. This is something that can be carried on for generation after generation. You may have several or one, there is no special time to make a tradition, anytime is the right time. Your tradition will be special to you and your family for years to come. One of my favorite traditions, is making cookies. Every year I make several kinds and pass out to friends and neighbors. Does your family have the tradition of setting out cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve? This tradition, our family shares each year.
Share your traditions and maybe yours you share will be a new one for another family. This time of year can be the best memories for you and your family to make and carry in your hearts from year to year.
Sharing from my family to yours. Kim
