Peach Season

Hello Readers,

Today I canned peaches for the first time. OK, this was my first canning experience.  A little time consuming, but real simple.  Spent my morning canning 1/2 bushel and will be canning another 1/2 bushel tomorrow. They look so yummy in the jars. Can't wait to open them this winter, and enjoying them with vanilla ice cream or just alone. I will use them in a cobbler or another peach dessert. If you haven't tried canning and have been saying I should try this, I would say go for it!!!!

Next will be apples and pears. They are coming in season here soon.

I made up 11 quarts to day.  Woo Who!!!!!

Happy Canning, Kim

Time to start a new beginning.

Dear all my readers,  Situations arise in your life; nobody wishes these unexpected changes. Life seems to take you in different directions. Your family is needing your undivided attention, friends may need your helping hand, or maybe you may need a reboot in your life. For several years my life has taken me on several journeys, some pleasant and some that have strengthened my faith. I would like to welcome back my readers; with a little prayer and faith I will be starting my blogging journey again.  Kim

Falling into the Season!

Fall is my favorite season!!! It's time to decorate as we fall into the autumn scents that fill the air, the taste of a pumpkin latte or apple cider as you enjoy the family on the porch on a cooler evening. As the leaves turn colors and start to fall, the little footsteps you will hear from the little goblins and witches by the end of October.
