Can you believe that we are almost into June. Summer is creeping up on us. I am so loving the Season's now that we live in Pennsylvania.  I would love to share this Chocolate Cake that I made for the family. It is so rich, moist and to die for. If you are a chocolate lover, you will so enjoy this cake.

My chocolate cake with just the right amount of frosting...not to much and not to little!!!!!

Chocolate Cake Recipe!

1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanila
1 cup boiling water

Preheat oven to 350* Grease and flour two 9 in. round cake pans.  Combine dry ingredients in bowl or your kitchen aide. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water and beat for 1 minute. Batter will be thin. " Don't stress this is good"  Poor evenly into to cake pans. Bake for 25- 30 minutes. Check at 25 min. insert toothpick and if it comes out clean, were done. Cool for 10 minutes on rack and then place wax paper on cake and turn over and slowly remove from pan. Let completely cool on rack.

Chocolate Frosting!

1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cup powder sugar
1/4 cup milk ( maybe a little more)
1 tsp vanilla

Melt butter, stir in cocoa. With mixer, add, alternate between sugar and milk beating on med. speed to a spread consistency, add more milk if needed, then add vanilla.  Divide frosting, put one cake on plate and spread frosting on top, place 2nd cake on top and spread top with frosting. Take powder sugar and pat of sides. This is optional, just gives a fun look.  If you love frosting, just double the recipe and frost the whole cake.

Bring out the Milk and enjoy your cake. Let me know what you think. My family loves it and I hope yours will too.

Update for my crafts. Ok, I had a flop with one. Yikes, that is not like me.  Bare with me they are coming.

bye for now!!!!!

Time to start a new beginning.

Dear all my readers,  Situations arise in your life; nobody wishes these unexpected changes. Life seems to take you in different directions. Your family is needing your undivided attention, friends may need your helping hand, or maybe you may need a reboot in your life. For several years my life has taken me on several journeys, some pleasant and some that have strengthened my faith. I would like to welcome back my readers; with a little prayer and faith I will be starting my blogging journey again.  Kim

Falling into the Season!

Fall is my favorite season!!! It's time to decorate as we fall into the autumn scents that fill the air, the taste of a pumpkin latte or apple cider as you enjoy the family on the porch on a cooler evening. As the leaves turn colors and start to fall, the little footsteps you will hear from the little goblins and witches by the end of October.
